内容简介

《胡适英文文存》系列结集了胡适于20世纪20年代左右到60年代初之间撰写的英文文章或英文演讲，它们大多都曾发表于颇具影响的英文刊物上，并对当时的中国社会产生过重大影响。按主题分编为《中国文学与社会》《中国哲学与思想史》和《民族危机与公共外交》三册，由哥伦比亚大学东亚系教授周质平选编。

《胡适英文文存3：民族危机与公共外交》选录胡适自1912至1944年间撰写和演讲的英文文献，胡适作为中国驻美国大使向美国乃至世界宣传中国抗战的性质与国际意义，争取美国和国际社会对中国的同情与支持。
