内容简介

全书收录印度裔、巴基斯坦裔和斯里兰卡裔等美国南亚裔作家的作品。本书将每个章节主要包括作者简介、作品选读、作品赏析和延伸阅读书目；作品文类包括自传、小说、诗歌、散文等多种体裁，作品出版时间跨度长达近一个世纪，内容多样，风格各异，从不同层面和角度呈现美国南亚裔文学的丰富内容和历史脉络，同时也展现美国南亚裔文学的独特性和发展趋势。

美国南亚裔文学是美国亚裔文学的重要组成部分，南亚裔文学及研究与亚裔的整体生存状态相关，学术界不能忽视各个少数族裔在种族、历史、人口及政治诉求等方面的发声。国内的研究集中于华裔文学领域，对于南亚裔文学的经典作品的专题研究很少，诗歌戏剧方面的研究更是不够重视。在一带一路倡议与中国文化走出去的时代背景下，有助于推动“美国亚裔文学”研究的总体性发展。
